We have an exciting opportunity to join our award-winning garden centre team in Woodmansey. As an independent, family-owned business, we take pride in the high standards we maintain and the welcoming environment we create for both our customers and our team.
The Role
We are looking for a Garden Shop Assistant with previous retail experience to join our team. We are open to recruiting one or more people, with hours and working patterns shaped around the right candidate(s). This is a varied, hands-on role working across our shop and seasonal lifestyle ranges. You’ll be part of a retail environment that changes throughout the year, in a setting that many find more enjoyable than a typical high street role.
Key Responsibilities
• Providing helpful, confident customer service
• Assisting customers with product queries and choices
• Replenishing stock and maintaining availability
• Merchandising and maintaining high shop standards
• Serving customers on tills and at the information desk
• Supporting the wider team in day-to-day operations
About you
• Previous retail experience is essential, ideally in a similar setting
• Friendly, confident, and comfortable working with customers
• Organised with good attention to detail
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team
• Comfortable working in a retail environment that can be busy at peak times
• Flexible and able to work weekdays and weekends
