Marketing Manager
We are looking for a commercially minded, hands-on Marketing Manager to lead and deliver marketing activity across our busy garden centre operation. This is not a desk-only marketing role. We are looking for someone who enjoys being on-site, working closely with store teams, bringing ideas to life and making things happen in a fast-paced retail environment. You will take ownership of campaigns, events, in-store marketing, digital channels and customer engagement, helping drive footfall, retail sales, café performance and customer loyalty throughout the year.
The Role
You will be responsible for planning and delivering integrated marketing activity across the business, ensuring campaigns are commercially focused, well executed and aligned to the seasonal retail calendar. The role covers a broad mix of marketing activity including:
• Social media and content creation
• Email marketing and customer engagement
• In-store signage and POS
• Events and seasonal campaigns
• Loyalty promotion and activation
• Local advertising, print and radio
• Photography, video and written content
• Community and PR activity
You will work closely with department managers across the garden centre and café, supporting trading priorities and helping create an engaging customer experience across the site.

• Has experience in a retail or customer-facing marketing role
• Understands how marketing supports commercial performance
• Is confident managing both digital and traditional marketing channels
• Enjoys creating content and bringing campaigns to life
• Can manage multiple priorities in a fast-moving environment
• Is organised, proactive and hands-on
• Has strong attention to detail and brand awareness
• Is comfortable working independently and taking ownership
Garden centre experience is not essential, but a genuine interest in retail, customer experience and seasonal trading is important.
What You’ll Be Doing
• Planning and delivering seasonal marketing campaigns
• Managing social media channels and content calendars
• Creating POS, signage and printed materials
• Supporting and promoting events across the site
• Driving loyalty engagement and email campaigns
• Coordinating local advertising and community activity
• Creating photography, video and written content
• Working with external suppliers, agencies and media partners
• Supporting store teams with in-store marketing and presentation
About the Role
• Full-time, site-based position
• 40 hours per week
• Competitive pay DOE
• Based in Woodmansey, East Yorkshire, UK
• Flexibility required during peak seasonal periods and key events
