How to Choose the Perfect Christmas Tree for Your Home

Measure your space

Before choosing your Christmas tree, decide where it will stand and measure the available space carefully.

Remember to measure:

• The height from the floor to the ceiling

• The width of the available space

• The depth around the tree

• The distance from nearby furniture, doors and radiators

Leave approximately 6 to 12 inches between the top of your tree and the ceiling. If you would like to add a star or another tree topper, remember to allow a little extra room.

As a simple guide:

• For ceilings up to 7ft, consider a 5ft or 6ft tree.

• For ceilings around 8ft, consider a 6ft or 7ft tree.

• For ceilings around 9ft, consider a 7ft or 8ft tree.

• For ceilings of 10ft or more, consider an 8ft or 9ft tree.
